Mailers, Door Hangers, Online Updates and Direct Business Coordination Help Residents and Businesses Prepare for Construction
PARADISE, CA – As the Town of Paradise continues one of its most significant years of roadway rehabilitation, the Town is also continuing a comprehensive outreach effort to keep residents and businesses informed about construction schedules, traffic impacts and changes as work progresses.
With work occurring on dozens of local streets and major roadways throughout Paradise, the Town recognizes that construction can create temporary disruptions for residents, businesses and motorists. To help the community plan ahead, the Town and its project team have used multiple methods of communication throughout the 2026 construction season, including:
- Town-wide mailed notification providing residents and businesses with an overview of the 2026 road rehabilitation program, anticipated construction areas, work hours, traffic impacts and project contact information. This mailer is sent about 3 weeks ahead of the overall start of work, however, depending on the construction schedule, can be farther in advance for some roadways.
- Door-to-door notifications delivered three days in advance of construction on individual roadways to provide more immediate notice as work approaches a specific neighborhood or business.
- ParadiseWorks.com, which provides centralized project information and updates for the community throughout construction.
- The website includes an opportunity to opt-in to receive weekly construction email updates. The Town encourages residents and businesses to add their information to opt in to these notifications.
- Direct outreach to affected businesses and residents when construction activities have the potential to create significant access or operational impacts.
- Public information through media releases and other Town communication channels as major phases of work begin or schedules change.
- Dedicated project contact information, including ParadiseWorks@TownofParadise.com and a call/text line at (530) 876-4001, so residents and businesses can ask questions or raise concerns directly with the project team.
The Town has also worked to reduce construction impacts through project scheduling. Work on Skyway, Clark Road and Elliott Road is being performed at night to minimize impacts to businesses along these major commercial corridors, while access is maintained for residents, businesses and emergency responders.
Construction schedules remain subject to change based on weather, field conditions and the sequencing of work. For that reason, the Town encourages residents and businesses to continue watching for door hangers and other direct notifications as work approaches their area and to check ParadiseWorks.com for the latest available project information.
As a reminder, the Town and our construction teams are committed to evacuation readiness during these summer months. As part of this effort, the Town evaluates work on evacuation corridors during Red Flag Warnings as well as requiring contractors to open roadways immediately in the event of an actual emergency.
The Town appreciates the community's patience as this work moves forward. In 2025, more than 100 public roadways damaged during the Camp Fire recovery effort were rebuilt, and dozens of additional residential roadways have been completed in 2026. Current work on Paradise's major roadways represents another important step toward completing this community-wide roadway recovery effort. By the end of 2026, 93 miles of roadway will have been rehabilitated since 2023 – representing about 93% of the Town’s overall roadway network.
